In this episode of the Running Iron Podcast Craig, Jim, and Oil Can are joined in the bunkhouse by Austin, Texas, resident Rick Schwertfeger. Rick is a retired public health professional who has also become a regular contributor to both Frontier Partisans and Running Iron Report. Rick sits down to discuss internet dating, former Texas Governor Rick Perry’s shooting prowess, and his studies of frontier life during the American War for independence.
As a bonus, the Running Iron boys are also joined by Miami Firefighter, and former US Marine, Carlos Constanzo. Carlos talks about his family’s experience before, during, and after the Castro takeover of Cuba.
It was an honor to have both men in the studio, so poor yourself a fine beverage, light a cigar, and join us for another informative, occasionally funny, and very interesting Running Iron Podcast.

Craig…
Great podcast by either number. Maybe it was the celebratory effect. I don’t know if it is just me but at times that this had a pace like it was a methedrine induced vocal race or that opening disclosure before after an ad.I had difficulty keeping up at times. Did Oilcan lean on the throttle maybe trying to compress this to a shorter play time. At times it sounded like it was 33rpm record played at 45rpm. Hell, maybe I’m just old and slow and you guys are just too fast for me. Nonetheless, it was a good visit with good guests and it left on a note of ambiguity and ain’t that always the truth. I thought you performed admirably well in spite the previous night’s remains as well. I hope though that Jim becomes a better example for you, but I won’t hold my breath. Keep ‘em coming and I keep wondering where the fan support is. These are very thought provoking podcasts…

Thanks ST. I hit the publish button before I caught the numbering mistake. Too late to correct it now, but I think it came out correctly on the RIR site. I don’t recommend imbibing before podcasting. At all, really, but boys will be boys. Thanks for hanging out with us, it is much appreciated, and I’m hopeful we can get more fan support if we keep producing a decent product.
